. . . because I promised my daughter Candice to be there for her every milestone, I unveil today the "Promise to my Daughter" Scholarship Fund.

  The "Promise to my Daughter" Scholarship Fund gives educational grants to qualified children under the age of 18 who have lost a parent to Breast Cancer in Zambia.  These grants are issued every October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month).  The amount of the grants issued will vary depending on the number of applicants

RECIPIENTS
 
 
We are pleased to announce that the following single orphans are the recipients of the 2010 PTMD Educational Grants:
 
 
Memory Kaunda,
10 years old
 
Her story:
 
Memory is in
grade 5 at
Bethel Academy
in Kafue,
Zambia.
 
She is a single orphan and lives with her Dad and 1 sibling.
 
Memory's Mom, Esnart Banda
Kaunda lost her battle with Breast
Cancer at age 32 in 2006.

Zambia
 
She is a single orphan and lives with
her Dad and 2 siblings. 
 
Tila's Mom, Bertha Daka Mwape 
lost her battle with Breast Cancer at age 36 in 2006.
 
 
Sandra Sichula,
15 years old
 
Her story:
 
Sandra is in
grade 8 at
Luangwa
High School in
Luangwa,
Zambia
 
She is one of 4 single
orphaned siblings and
lives with her Aunt Mrs Rhoda
Mukandi.
 
Sandra's Mom, Juliet Sichula, lost
her battle with Breast Cancer at age 38 in 2010.
