Women's Oncology Ward B21
University Teaching Hospital, Lusaka
In 2002, the Ministry of Health allocated Ward B21 to deal exclusively with Breast and Cervical Cancer. The 35 bed capacity Ward was adopted by the BreakThrough Cancer Trust the same year and with the support of donors completely refurbished it. Todate, the Trust continues to maintain Ward B21 and provides cancer drugs, supplies, counseling and support to the patients. We also provide the patients with masectomy bras and prosthetics.
The offices for BCT are conveniently located on this Ward to ensure easy monitoring of various needs of the patients.
